Empowering TIES, LLC was created with the mission to empower individuals, organizations, and communities to recognize their strengths, identify their resources, and bring about sustainable, meaningful change. Education, skill building, and support, in varies areas including, Trauma (historical, intergenerational, institutional, and personal), Connection, Resilience, Overall Wellness and Embodied Awareness are the focus. The organization employs compassionate facilitation to create safe spaces for learning, connecting, sharing, and growing.
Founder, Chandra Green, is a healer and change strategist with extensive credentials and experience, including being NC Certified in Trauma and Resilience. She is also a Certified Life Coach, Resilience Consultant, Certified Resiliency Educator, and Expert Facilitator, collaborating with several community agencies. Chandra provides intensive therapeutic services and crisis intervention to youth, caregivers, and families referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice. She also serves as a Trauma and Resilience Consultant for Rural Opportunity Institute (ROI), Lead Trainer for Resources for Resilience, and a Registered Facilitator with Circle of Security International. Having trained with Resmaa Menaken and Education for Racial Equality, Chandra is also a coach, advocate, and student of Somatic Abolitionism, an embodied antiracist practice of living and culture building.
With over 30 years of experience in law enforcement and human services, Chandra is dedicated to helping learning institutions, government agencies, and community organizations become more trauma-informed and resiliency-focused. She emphasizes mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being as essential components of building a culture of safety, respect, and compassion. Empowering TIES provides a safe and supportive container for individuals and communities to explore self-awareness and connection, ultimately working towards healing and dismantling racism while recovering from white body supremacy on both personal and collective levels.
